Huskers enter Purdue week as 3-point underdogs…can things change enough to make you feel like Nebraska can win the game?

-Purdue got their first win of the season in resounding fashion, beating 23rd-ranked Boston College 30-7 at home to finally get their mojo going. Purdue has had 3 close losses on the season, and will no doubt want to avenge last year’s loss to Nebraska. Can Nebraska find a way to get a win or will it be another embarrassment?

-Do Husker fans believe in their chance to win this game?

Tony Davis (Former Husker RB) / Shut Up Sipple

-Was that game ‘rock bottom’ or will it get worse going forward? Are you seeing a team that doesn’t want to be out there?

-How can the offensive line be that bad? And what happened to the defense? Everyone looks lost

-Did you ever think it could get worse than last year’s 4-8 record?

Husker fans have always been diehards, but how do you stay interested in the current season with how things are going currently?

-Can you turn a blind eye to 2018 and simply focus on 2019 and beyond? There are still games to be played and they can be won, but after a blowout loss against a team with a shaky offense like Michigan, it could get worse.

-It’s painful to watch games like that from Saturday. Half of Nebraska was probably mowing their yards by halftime or were at least hammered to dull the pain. The season looks like it’s going to continue to be long. How do we get through this and keep positivity for the future? We believe the future will be good but the now is so, so painful. And we can’t just look away from the ‘now.’

-More thoughts on Saturdays’s game:

Hey, the weekend wasn’t a total loss—Husker volleyball does their thing and TIGER WOODS IS BACK, BABY

-We don’t talk much volleyball on this show but we can give them their fair due when they keep their winning ways up and beat Michigan and Michigan State both in 4 sets, respectively. We take their success for granted.

-Also, TIGER WOODS WON A DAMN GOLF TOURNAMENT!! Tour Championship goes to Tiger in resounding fashion.

-And, SONG OF THE DAY:

Uh…..are we sure that Nebraska practices special teams? This is beyond Bruce Read bad this year

-2 straight weeks with a long punt return allowed for a TD, more poor blocking on kickoff returns, and a terrible muffed punt by Tyjon Lindsey. For those who though it was bad under Mike Riley/Bruce Read—it’s gotten worse. Way worse. Like….worst in the nation kind of bad. Is there a fix for this?

-We mentioned last week that with no bye week now (Bethune-Cookman game on Oct. 27th replaces bye week), it’s hard to clean up the things like special teams. Well, it’s not just special teams that’s been bad, but that unit has been horrible in all 3 games for sure. What can be done?
