April 9th: No one is safe from ridicule or questioning in the fishbowl that is Nebraska Football

-Running backs coach Ryan Held said after Saturday’s practice that the coaches weren’t bothered to have so many recruits and parents watching their practice because they are who they are and aren’t a bunch of ‘car salesmen’

-Sip has a story where he mentioned that in the past about Danny Nee and it cost a lot of money in ad sales…NOTHING IS SAFE!

April 9th: Is Sip drinking too much Spring Kool-Aid about Scott Frost and his teaching ability? / Shut Up Sipple

-Sip wrote a column for the Journal Star that praised Frost, based on words from Tom Osborne and more…we know he was tremendous at UCF, but again—we have been fooled in the past about positive vibes. How do we know what is real and when will we know that?

April 9th: An update on the QB position from Mario Verduzco….they’ve thrown HOW MANY INTS in practice so far?

-Verduzco talked to media on Saturday and said that Nebraska QBs have thrown 4 INTs this spring in total—and says that’s 4 too many….but we saw way more than that in past years…

-He also said there’s no way they’ll have any idea of a starter by the end of spring…might not be the worst thing this year

-More thoughts from Saturday’s practice and Tyjon Lindsey’s praise of Scott Frost…

April 9th: The Philadelphia 76ers and Houston Astros are living stories that tanking can eventually help in getting to the top

-The 76ers’ “Process” has been mocked for several years, as they put awful teams on the floor in order to tank to get top draft picks. Now, winners of 14 straight and looking at a 3-seed in the Eastern Conference, it appears the wait worked out—as it did for the Astros over the past couple of years

-Also, SONG OF THE DAY:

April 9th: Husker Baseball tanks once again at Michigan State; where the hell does Darin Erstad go from here?

-Michigan State entered the weekend with a 7-19 record but pull away with a sweep, including a 17-5 win where Erstad said it’s time to see who wants to play on this team and who doesn’t

-Lots of talent from the state is excelling elsewhere….what exactly is the plan of attack going forward? What can be salvaged from this season?
