March 1st: Mike Schaefer (247 Sports/Huskers Illustrated): Part 3

March 1st: Mike Schaefer (247 Sports/Huskers Illustrated): Part 2 / Shut Up Sipple

-How would you approach Tim Miles and a possible contract extension going forward after this season for Nebrasketball? Has he deserved it, or is 2018-19 the ultimate ‘prove it’ year?
-Thoughts on Nebraska’s chances in B1G Tournament

March 1st: Mike Schaefer (247 Sports/Huskers Illustrated): Part 1

-Schaefer is back from the Bahamas! Any life revelations made on vacation?
-Several SEC coaches are against official visits for Spring Games, and Schaefer is, too. Is there any advantage at all to having an OV that early? If not, why does anyone do it?
-Nebraska listed as 10th best QB situation in B1G for 2018…does that seem about right? How quickly can that improve?

March 1st: P.J. Fleck makes a change to Minnesota’s helmets for the 2018 season…should a coach have influence on his team’s uniforms?

-Fleck, known for his ‘Row the Boat’ phrase, has implemented the stripe on the Gophers’ helmets to instead be oars to ‘row the boat’
-Is this good for college football to have a coach influence a change in attire for the university? If Scott Frost wanted a change in uniform, would you think it was a good thing or something that hurts tradition?

March 1st: Is Tim Miles worthy of a contract extension yet or does he need to have one more ‘prove it’ year?

-Miles’ contract runs through March of 2020, and he was on a major ‘hot seat’ entering this season, and performed well with a 13-5 conference record
-If you’re Bill Moos, you definitely are thrilled with the success the team has had this year, but at the same time, you have to consider the whole resume of Miles, who made the NCAA Tournament in his 2nd year, but only has 2 seasons with more than 6 conference wins out of 6 seasons
-What would you do if you were Bill Moos? Do you need to give an extension yet? Look at Iowa this year and the problems with long extensions…
