January 10th: Final recap of Nebrasketball’s win over Wisconsin…did Jordy do enough to make you believe in him again?

-He definitely wasn’t perfect, but defended decently, hit FTs, and scored 9 points. He is definitely an imposing figure inside, but lack of skill is still evident…

-Is there an argument for Thomas Allen to be playing more significant minutes until Glynn Watson gets out of his funk? Certainly a capable PG if needed…

January 10th: Sean Callahan (Husker Online) / Shut Up Sipple

-What impact does Noah Vedral’s transfer make on the QB position? Has to sit out this year…if Martinez stars as a freshman, does this move make sense for Vedral?

-Thoughts on if UCF should be higher in rankings and what Bama’s win does for college football going forward

January 10th: Do you believe the era of embarrassing blowout losses is over with Scott Frost back as head coach?

-Ever since 2001, Nebraska has been plagued by scores of 70-31, 62-36, 70-10, 76-39, 62-28, and worse. It’s become the norm under Frank Solich, Bill Callahan, Bo Pelini, and Mike Riley

-Scott Frost might not win ‘big’ right away, but can he bring the sense of togetherness right away that might not eliminate losses, but might eliminate the snowball effect losses when the Huskers look like they give up and allow big point totals and yardages?

January 10th: Barrett Ruud comes back to Nebraska officially, and Zac Taylor gets a promotion in the NFL

-Ruud finishes off Scott Frost’s staff and will be the inside linebackers coach…while Zac Taylor gets the QB coach spot for the Rams…how do you assess all the former Huskers getting coaching jobs?

-Also, SONG OF THE DAY:

January 10th: Huskers land transfer QB Noah Vedral from UCF, adding to a full QB room

-UCF tried to block a transfer to Nebraska, but Vedral got his way and will join the Huskers, though he will have to sit out the 2018-19 season due to transfer rules

-How would you view this in Vedral’s stance? He would be sitting 2 more years behind McKenzie Milton at UCF…but at Nebraska, he has to sit out a year, and if he really wants a chance to start the 2019-20 season, he’s going to have to hope that Adrian Martinez/Patrick O’Brien/Tristan Gebbia don’t breakout as an obvious starter of the future in the 2018-19 season…
