The Brett Kane Show w/ Bock: November 7th, 2pm

  • The Green Bay Packers remind me a lot of Husker football. A majority of their plays come from the quarterback. They have no respectable run game, a bad offensive line and bad defense.

  • True or False – Daylight Savings, Iowa fake ID status, Broken Chair trophy

November 7th: If Nebraska were to make a bowl game this year at 6-6, what kind of fan turnout would there be?

-Likely comes with a coaching change and a very mediocre bowl game obviously, against a non-exciting opponent

-Would fans travel to Detroit for the Quicken Loans Bowl at Ford Field? It’s a possible destination. Or Pinstripe Bowl in NYC

November 7th: Tony Davis (Former Husker RB) / Shut Up Sipple

-Is this a total rebuild after this season or not? What’s a fair expectation for Nebraska in 2018?

-How quickly can a culture be established in a program?

November 7th: Will Nebraska be in full ‘rebuild mode’ next year or are there enough pieces on this team to expect a smooth transition under new leadership, if there is a new coach?

-We weren’t sold a full rebuild this time around, but it sure was headed that way…if a new coach is hired, will it take several years to dig out of this hole, or could it be like Bo’s first 2 years where they made instant progress and by year 2 had the best defense in the country?

-It’s fair to think that Riley/Langsgdorf/Diaco and rest of staff are good coaches, but maybe their message wasn’t clicking with the players, and that can be received in year 1 of a new coach. Bill Callahan wasn’t a bad coach, the message just stopped being received and executed by the team at the end

November 7th: Jon Gruden pulls another Gruden-ism and introduces us all to the Turkey Hole

-Gruden, who is one of the more entertaining analysts in the game, often times throws out strange terms that need explanation…but none probably top the Turkey Hole reference from last night on Monday Night Football

November 7th: Nebrasketball begins its season tonight with an exhibition against Northwood….what is your expectation for the season?

-Huskers host Northwood at 7pm at PBA…Nebraska beat Mississippi State and Iowa State in impressive wins that didn’t count

-Are you NCA Tournament or bust for Tim Miles and this squad? After a 12 win season where you had 4 transfers and the loss of your best player…it seems that’s the expectation…good luck, Tim
