Happer & Stephens: November 6th, 1pm

  • Iowa destroyed Ohio State on Saturday. Good for Iowa, bad for the Big Ten’s playoff hopes.
  • Tanner Lee took a step back in his progression as a quarterback on Saturday, throwing three interceptions.
  • Are Lee’s struggles more of a reflection on him or the cast of characters around him?

Happer & Stephens: November 6th, 12pm

  • Recapping Mike Riley’s press conference, including his thoughts on Bob Diaco’s comments.
  • Riley and Diaco continue to preach time and development. They have to realize that their time might be up, right?
  • Bull or No Bull, brought to you by Buffalo Wings and Rings

Happer & Stephens: November 6th, 11am

  • Nebraska blew multiple opportunities on both offense and defense en route to an overtime loss at home against Northwestern.
  • DC Bob Diaco went full Diaco-ese in explaining why his team can’t be expected to stop the run.

November 6th: You might not like James Franklin, but Sorensen respects him on a whole new level now

-After Penn State’s loss to Michigan State, Franklin sprinted toward the tunnel to locker room to make sure that his team got back on the field to shake hands with the Spartans, despite tough loss….THAT’S a coach and leader

November 6th: Tanner Lee reverts back to poor September form with 3 INTs…what happened? / Shut Up Sipple

-Lee was 21-for-38 for 225 yards and 3 INTs, and at least 2 of them were very hard to explain…what is the deal? Terrible September (9 INTs), great October (1 INT); and now 3 INTs in first game of November, on a day with nice weather and low wind

-How do you explain what happened to him on Saturday?

November 6th: Is anything believable from this staff anymore as the end seems inevitable?

-Huskers have 3 games left, but the question about ‘what if there is a coaching change’ for next year just now seems to be ‘who is the coach next year’…and Bob Diaco had some very odd comments following the game

-The players hear the noise around them, will they quit on the staff? They definitely didn’t quit against Northwestern, you have to give them that..but a loss in OT in those circumstances is crippling for a team that is lacking any sort of an edge right now

November 6th: The B1G is out of the College Football Playoff race (likely)..where do they go from here?

-Wisconsin still has a chance, but even an undefeated season might not be enough for them, and that seems unlikely still, too…Penn State and Ohio State losing this weekend may have been the worst weekend for the B1G in years

-Also, SONG OF THE DAY:

November 6th: Iowa beats Ohio State, 55-24, with far less talent….so what do fans who blame Nebraska’s talent level being the problem use an excuse now?

-Yes, the same Ohio State team that came to Lincoln and never punted; leading 35-0 at halftime, and 56-14 final score….THAT team went into Iowa City and got ROLLED against a team that Husker fans love to mock. Who is laughing now?

-Wisconsin does the same thing with less talent. Iowa just ruined any argument of not having enough talent, because they KILLED and EMBARRASSED Ohio State….how do you explain that?
