October 16th: That game sucked, but ya know what? J.D. Spielman was awesome

-That’s right, Sorensen and Sip are ending the show on a POSITIVE note after a terrible, terrible loss. Spielman set a school record for most receiving yards in game…his stats:  11 rec, 200 yds, 1 TD (long of 77)

-If you ever questioned the heart of any players or the team in general, you can’t question his….we’ll see his status after a rough hit at the end of the game on a tackle of him, but that’s what fans needed to see to believe in something…

October 16th: Would Husker fans take Mike Leach at Nebraska if he ever became an option? / Shut Up Sipple

-Moos hired Mike Leach at Washington State, and he has had success in rebuilding a bad football program. Sorensen put a Twitter poll up on Sunday that showed that the majority of Husker fans would NOT want Leach at Nebraska….are you surprised about that?

-The Air Raid attack is fun to watch, as Moos pointed out at his press conference, but it ultimately has resulted in winning now for Washington State

October 16th: Bill Moos says he doesn’t fire coaches midseason…do you believe this team will continue to fight or will they go down in a blaze of glory?

-Moos is probably doing the right thing in not firing the coach until after the season, but fans like to see results, and firings make them happy if the team sucks. Does that fix anything? Not usually. But will this team show up the rest of the year and believe in itself to win and compete, or go down without a fight?

-It would be quite sad to see the team lose its focus and belief after 2 demoralizing home losses, and particularly the Ohio State loss, giving up nearly 700 yards of offense and a school record for first downs, while trailing 35-0 at halftime ON YOUR HOME FIELD

October 16th: Have you ever been so happy to have a bye week for Nebraska as this year?

-Fans are beaten down right now….2 straight awful losses and a terrible taste in your mouth. Sorensen heard several fans say they were happy for the bye week, simply because the team “couldn’t lose.” That’s where things are at.

October 16th: Now, back to Saturday’s game….it’s not a good sign when losses like that aren’t surprising anymore

-Before the game, we all had a feeling that it could be an Ohio State rout—and it turns out the 24-point spread was generous to Nebraska, as they lose by 42…are you seeing effort from the team?

-Riley, with capable safeties in Marquel Dismuke/Kieron Williams, elects to not start those 2 and instead puts Dicaprio Bootle at safety, who despite having a nice play early on, didn’t do great. What the heck was that? The defense was a disaster, and the offense was hapless until the 2nd half when the game was over. Completely disheartening.
