  • Does the problem come down to talent or development?

October 10th: Can Nebraska get their drops problem figured out with WRs?

-Keith Williams addressed the issue on Monday and said that it’s disappointing, but a lot of it is on 50/50 balls, where there is a chance for the defender to knock it away….says its not really drops on easy passes

-More from Williams on Tyjon Lindsey’s slow start to his freshman year and more:

October 10th: Tony Davis (Ex-Husker RB) / Shut Up Sipple

-Surprised that Nebraska moved the ball so well against Wisconsin? How frustrating was it in 2nd half to see Badgers play like the Nebraska of old and pound the rock into oblivion?

-What are goals for the rest of season for Nebraska, and is there any chance of a win against Ohio State?

-Are there enough signs of progress to retain this staff for a fourth year?

October 10th: Will Nebraska EVER be able to catch up to the powers in the East?

-They’re already quite a ways away from Wisconsin in their own division—but it feels like even Wisconsin is going to be the underdog for most B1G Championship games, because of the monsters at Ohio State and Penn State, and the potential at Michigan and Michigan State

-Is it conceivable to ever make up enough ground? As we discussed yesterday, Urban Meyer has the ability to discard 4 and 5-star players if he doesn’t deem them has good fits for the program. Nebraska doesn’t have that luxury, and goes crazy about any 4 or 5 star player that they land

October 10th: Chris Petersen complains about having so many late games, and Kirk Herbstreit/ESPN fire back…who is right in the argument?

-Petersen says it hurts his program and other Pac-12 school’s exposure when they have to play so many games that start at 9 or 10pm central/eastern time, but Herbstreit says they should be thankful for any exposure….who is right and who is wrong?

October 10th: Should Nebraska go the medical redshirt route with Tre Bryant, or try to have him come back this season?

-Mike Riley said it’s a difficult conversation because he is close to coming back, but he’s also at the threshold in terms of amount of time played, to qualify for a medical redshirt

-Is it worth it for him to try and play again this year, or should they try to let him get healthy? Sorensen thinks that his issues with knee aren’t going to get better with taking rest of year off, so might as well play him now

-Other nuggets from practice:
