  • How big of an upset would it REALLY be if Nebraska were to beat Wisconsin?
  • Nate Clouse, HuskerOnline
  • The Blog Jog, brought to you by Barney Insurance

October 3rd: Jaylin Bradley might be the main backup RB on Saturday because of injuries to Tre Bryant and Mikale Wilbon…oh, boy!

-Wilbon battling an ankle injury and might be a game-time decision…so here we are against a damn good rushing defense without Tre Bryant and (potentially) Mikale Wilbon….can Ozigbo and Bradley carry the load? Might we see 30 carries from Ozigbo, like we saw against Arkansas State with Bryant getting 31 carries? The fans would be doing jumping jacks for that!

-Also, Nebraska with back-to-back night games at home for the first time since 1992, as Ohio State game announced to be on FS1 next week at 7:30pm in Lincoln

October 3rd: Tony Davis (Former Husker RB) / Shut Up Sipple

-Nebraska’s offense looked better against Illinois…was that a sign of things to come, or just a bad Illinois team?

-Huskers opened as 12.5 point underdogs for this weekend’s Wisconsin game…is that a lack of respect, or Vegas knowing something we don’t know?

October 3rd: Do you believe in Nebraska’s offense enough to score points and move the ball against a top 10 defense like Wisconsin’s?

-And it’s not just Wisconsin this week—it’s a good defense with Ohio State next week, as well….was the performance against Illinois enough to make you believe that the poor offensive performances against Rutgers and Northern Illinois are a thing of the past?

-Wisconsin leads the B1G in INTS on defense and are 2nd in sacks….2 things that Nebraska’s offense has been crippled by with opposing teams…any reason to think that those issues have been resolved?

October 3rd: After multiple conflicting reports, Tom Petty is indeed dead at age 66

-Tom Petty was reported to be dead of cardiac arrest by LAPD and CBS News—-and then the report was rescinded, saying that he was merely in critical condition. He was announced officially dead at age 66 late Monday night. Journalism took a hit, though

October 3rd: Tim Miles meets with media and throws some shade at players who transferred out

-Miles seemed refreshed and honest with media on Monday, and genuinely seems excited about how this team could do this year….if football ends with a tough year, are you confident Nebrasketball can and will pick up the slack?

-Is it possible that the guys who transferred away (Jacobson/Morrow/Horne) were just not good fits in the locker room and on this team in general? What do you expect this year from the team?
