September 25th: Was DPE’s long punt return a flash in the pan, or will see more big returns throughout the season?

-The return came at a time where again, Nebraska’s offense was somewhat sputtering. Felt a lot like last week when Nebraska was fortunate to recover a muffed punt…

-Thoughts on what we’ll hear at today’s press conference…

September 25th: More on the defense—is their improvement over the past 2.5 games solely because of bad opponents, or just finally playing at a high level?

-0 points in 2nd half against Oregon; 7 points against NIU; 10 points against Rutgers….can they keep it up, or is it just bad opponents/conservative offense?

-Rutgers had 24 carries for 68 yards against Nebraska (2.8 ypc); not bad at all for the D

September 25th: Is there a legitimate chance that POB/Gebbia gets snaps at QB any time soon?

-Tanner Lee threw 2 more INTs and one of them was an ugly pick 6 that drew lots of ‘boos’ at Memorial Stadium—give him credit, though, as he led the 97-yard drive

-Langsdorf said after the game that he never considered putting POB in, but is there a time soon where that’s the case? How many more bad INTs can he throw before something happens? There were several more ‘almost’ INTs again, and an overall lack of trust in his delivery…back-foot throws, rushed throws, hanging on to ball too long….he’s just a bit off

September 25th: Iowa appears to be no joke; Hawkeyes battle Penn State to the very end, but lose on last-second TD

If you’re a person who mocks Iowa for their ‘mediocre recruiting’ and ‘boring’ offensive identity, well—that boring offense nearly stole a win from No. 4 Penn State, who needed a TD on 4th and goal to win at the buzzer. Can Nebraska hang with either of those teams in November?

September 25th: After his performance against Rutgers, it’s OK to now question why Ozigbo hasn’t been playing more

-Many thought it was an overplayed issue last week—and maybe it was—but still, he showed why fans are clamoring for him to play more. 24 carries, 101 yards, and some very physical, tough runs in doing so

-Langsdorf said he’s been practicing better…is there more to it than that? Also—O-line in general…Jaimes good first game…o-line was decent as a whole
