September 13th: The $5 Bits of Broken Chair Trophy is back for the Minnesota/Nebraska game…can you ever truly get fired up for that game?

-The trophy is a nice story from Reddit and Faux Pelini, and it went away last year but is back now…with Iowa, you didn’t want to think of them as a rival because of historical success compared to them…but Minnesota? Besides their success wayyyyyy back in the day, they’ve been beyond irrelevant for DECADES…Husker fans really want this trophy to matter

September 13th: Sean Callahan (Husker Online) / Shut Up Sipple

-Any concerns over Tanner Lee’s ability to bounce back after a rough performance against Oregon?

-He won’t have any so-called ‘big games’ for nearly a month, when Nebraska hosts Wisconsin on October  7th…how much do you expect him to improve by then, and can he be a ‘big game performer’?

-How much can the defense build on the 2nd half of the Oregon game after the abysmal first half?

September 13th: Bob Diaco says Northern Illinois’ offense is a lot like what Nebraska saw in the first 2 games; do you believe the defense is up for the task and can slow them down?

-Diaco says that the RPO offense (run/pass option) is popular in college football, and ‘why wouldn’t it be,’ since it puts up a lot of yards and points

-If it’s a similar look to the first 2 games, how much can the 2nd half against Oregon shine through to this game and have the Huskers off to a strong start, instead of close or trailing at halftime?

-More from Diaco/other players:

September 13th: The Cleveland Indians won their 20th straight game last night, tying the MLB record for most consecutive wins

-Is that the most impressive win streak you can think of? Does a 16-0 regular season in the NFL top that? Sorensen isn’t sure that it does….what about Sip?

-Also, SONG OF THE DAY:

September 13th: Rejoice, Nebrasketball fans….rejoice! Isaac Copeland is CLEARED by the NCAA to play the full 2017-18 season!

-In the midst of another busy and crazy Husker football season, there is finally some good news for Nebrasketball, as the Huskers get news that he can play the full season this year

-Audio from Copeland from yesterday….he’s ready to go…how much does this change the outlook for the season? Is this finally the good luck charm that Tim Miles needs to get it going this season? LOTS of talent on this roster this year…
