September 12th: Bob Diaco speaks tonight after practice…do you believe his defense approaches the next game confidently or a bit rattled still?

-The message so far from most fans and media is that we still don’t know how good or bad this team is, on all aspects: offense, defense, special teams. All units have had flashes of excellence, and have also had very poor times….did the 2nd half against Oregon make you feel confident that they figured it out and will come out and play a full 4 quarters of solid defense against Northern Illinois?

September 12th: Tony Davis (Former Husker RB) / Shut Up Sipple

-What was the real Nebraska on Saturday: First half, with a 28-point halftime deficit, or the 2nd half team that cut it to one score at the end?

-How do you develop fair expectations for a RB like Tre Bryant who has looked great in 2 games, but has bad knees?

September 12th: Was Saturday’s performance concerning for Tanner Lee’s ability to rise up in big games?

-Danny Langsdorf spoke on Monday after practice and said that Lee’s confidence wasn’t rattled and that he would bounce back and that he was coachable through the 4 INTs, but of course his coach will be positive

-Is there any concern about his ability to shake that off and perform well in big games ahead? Also, more thoughts from Langsdorf/Riley on Nebraska’s inconsistency so far….

September 12th: Beth Mowins and Rex Ryan shared the late night MNF booth last night….oh boy!

-Rex is in his first year as a color analyst, and Mowins was the first female in 30 years to call the NFL on TV…some highlights from the game: (Chargers/Broncos in Denver)…can Mowins be a Doris Burke type?

September 12th: Tre Bryant has looked great through 2 games, but how you fairly assess your expectations for him with a lingering knee injury?

-Mike Riley said he would be somewhat of a game-time decision for Saturday, but Reggie Davis said he’s good to go and will play against Northern Illinois

-Regardless, this is a guy who was held out for several practices in Fall Camp because of ‘wear and tear’ to his knee, and he went down against Oregon…can you limit expectations for him or not? Can he make it through the season on a less than 100% knee?
