September 8th: Picks of the Weekend….and a phone call from Sip

-Sip’s not in today, so we give him a phone call to get his official prediction for the Oregon game..

-Games to pick:  Oklahoma/Ohio State; Iowa/Iowa State; Auburn/Clemson; Nebraska/Oregon

September 8th: Mike Riley and staff say this game isn’t a big deal personally for them….do you buy that? / Shut Up Sipple

-Autzen Stadium is a place where Mike Riley has had some huge problems at in the past with his Oregon State teams…is there a part of you that thinks he gets over a personal hump with a win in a tough environment?

September 8th: Do you believe this team can come back if they fall behind vs. Oregon?

-If the Ducks get off to a hot start, will Nebraska abandon the run and be all pass heavy…and would that possibly work, if so? Again, Oregon’s defense will likely be better than last year’s abysmal unit, but still is not going to be considered elite…so you shouldn’t have to worry about being blown out because of their defense…

-Nebraska struggled to put away Arkansas State, so there has to be some question if they can come back if necessary

September 8th: The NFL returned last night, and people need to stop saying the NFL sucks

-The Chiefs and Patriots played a great game; yes, Nebraska is a major college football state, but there is no reason to say that the NFL sucks, which many do. Why?

-Also, SONG OF THE DAY:

September 8th: Would a win against Oregon change the tone for the outlook of the season?

-For those who think Nebraska is an 8-4 team, this is likely one of the 4 losses you predict. But, if Nebraska goes out and wins and then wins 3 straight (likely) against N. Illinois, Rutgers and Illinois, do they set themselves up for a solid run through the season, or something like last year still, where you had a great start, but rough finish? Difference this year is an elite QB, of course
