August 15: Shawn Eichorst can finally claim to have had a great day in his time at Nebraska

August 15: Tom Dienhart (BTN) / Shut Up Sipple

-What was so impressive about Iowa that made you think they were the most physical team so far on your tour?

-Other things you’ve been impressed with so far on the camp tour…

-What are you looking for today at Husker football practice?

August 15: Do you tire of the discussion of Wisconsin and Iowa being such physical teams, and Nebraska not mentioned in the same conversation?

-Tom Dienhart and the BTN crew were at Iowa yesterday for their Fall Camp preview and said that Iowa had the most physical practice of the 8 they had seen so far

-Wisconsin also gets this hype a lot for being physical….and it’s nauseating to Husker fans who long for the days of the Huskers being considered the ‘tough team.’ Will they become that again under the current coaching staff? Will it matter if they find ways to win games in other ways?

August 15th: After 12 practices, do you feel like Nebraska is going the right direction in the trenches?

-Mike Riley said on Saturday that he felt that both lines were improving, but will it be enough by gameday on September 2nd?

-Also, SONG OF THE DAY:

August 15th: Bob Diaco has said he prefers to be in the box rather than on the sideline…would it be better for him to be on the field?

-Diaco has said that trusts his assistants to do their roles well enough so that he doesn’t have to be on the sideline…but his energy is so infectious…wouldn’t that be better suited to the sideline?

-Sure, you can see the offense better from above and see what’s best for your unit, but is that enough to give up the energy and benefits of coaching guys up from the sidelines?
