July 31: Khalil Davis, the hybrid defensive lineman? / Baseball Hall of Fame inductees

-Riley said Davis can play nose tackle or defensive end, and did so on Sunday. Also, Peyton Newell has moved to nose tackle…can anyone give Mick Stoltenberg a push at the starting spot? Or at least give quality depth?

-Also, Jeff Bagwell and Pudge Rodriguez among those inducted into Pro Baseball Hall of Fame Sunday

July 31: Nebraska has fallen to 27th in recruiting rankings for 2018….can they ever keep pace with Ohio State and the other B1G giants? / Shut Up Sipple

-It’s only the end of July, but Ohio State already has 13 4-star players and a 5-star for 2018…and Nebraska is nowhere near that, and actually trailing the likes of Maryland and Wisconsin in recruiting currently. How will they re-generate momentum on the trail?

July 31: Joshua Kalu appears to be staying at safety as of now…do you trust the young CBs to step up?

-Kalu played safety in Nebraska’s first day of practice on Sunday—no pads for anyone—but Dicaprio Bootle was one who saw more playing time….and who is Jeremiah Stovall???

-Might be one of the top things we look at when it comes to Fall Camp. The dynamic of Eric Lee/Dicaprio Bootle/Lamar Jackson and others at CB, as Nebraska tries to replace the injured Chris Jones

-Other defensive notes from Sunday’s practice:

July 31: How much attention will you pay to Scott Frost this year at UCF? Also, Westerkamp to the ‘Fins

  • Seems lime everyone’s favorite hobby beyond watching Husker football is tracking what their supposed ‘coach of the future’ is doing at UCF–also, Sorenson’s a big Dolphins fan. Can Westy crack the roster?

July 31: Riley says running backs are good to go for this year – when will you start believing in that unit?

  • Mike Riley said that he likes what he has with Tre Bryant, Devine Ozigbo and Mikael Wilbon… is it coach-speak, or do you think they can actually be productive this year to a high extent?
