Post Practice Report 3/30

Athlon Sports ranks Nebraska’s Tanner Lee as the 90th best QB in Division 1 college football this year…are people overlooking the Huskers?

Or, are we too high on what the QBs could bring this year? Some people might expect a drop-off in production at QB this year because if it’s Lee as the starter, you lose mobility.

How many recruits can we expect at the Spring Game? Is this the biggest amount of visitors ever, and the most highly-heralded or not?

Takeaways from first practice after Spring Break…..do you like the Lamar Jackson move to starting CB and Kalu move to safety? Is this a demotion of any sort to Kalu?

How much pressure do Nebraska coaches face to play their young players early?

You know the Calibraska Crew isn’t coming here to sit on the bench, and wasn’t sold that…and to overcome obstacles in beating other schools out for players, early playing time is likely a selling point…

We’ve mentioned Lamar Jackson’s emergence as an example in all of this, and have hit on Patrick O’Brien a bit, too. But is Nebraska making it a goal to play these guys as early as possible? Does that make a huge factor in recruiting higher talent? J.D. Spielman pushing to play, and KJJ possibly?
